Our ‘Passiontide’ programme includes music from the 16th century through Bach to the present day. It offers rich reflections on the passion narrative and culminates in the northern première of The Crucifixion by Tom Edney, our music director, which incorporates original poetry by Carrie Thompson reflecting on the seven last words from the Cross.
